TECC/Street Medicine Instructor Course – ALS Provider

Why the Trilogy Street Medicine / TECC Instructor Course for ALS Providers? – This course is specifically for ALS Agencies desiring an in-house TECC training program. It is taught by TCCC and TECC Instructors. This is the full TECC Course that follows approved C-TECC Guidelines. You learn the essential first responder level skills including tourniquets, wound packing, hemostatics, and airway management. In addition, you will learn surgical airways, needle decompression, pharmacology, and blood products. Once Instructor candidates complete this course you will have the knowledge and training to provide TECC – ALS Provider training in house.

This course is a Train the Trainer program for ALS Personnel. This is the foundation course to train personnel within your agency to provide in-house TECC – ALS Provider courses.

Successful Instructor Candidates will receive USB with all materials necessary to conduct training. During the course you will learn how to establish a TECC program and comply with C-TECC Guidelines.

Based on TCCC/TECC Concepts and following the approved C-TECC Guidelines, this course is a complete TECC course with a Train the Trainer workshop. Upon successful  completion the instructor will have the knowledge, tools, and resources to provide in house TECC training.

Topics include: Advanced Airway Management, hemorrhage control including combat gauze and tourniquets, and recognition and treatment of shock. The Instructor Candidate will learn instructional techniques to maximize student learning, learn to present skill building sessions and scenarios, and lead fellow students through learning exercises and skill stations.

Instructors are allowed to teach subject matter that falls within their scope of practice. You are not AUTHORIZED to teach skills beyond your scope of practice. This follows the C-TECC Guidelines.
